The concepts, principles and techniques of striking, twirling, blocking, counterattacking and aspects of the 1str disarming series are explained and demonstrated in great detail.

A method, that utilizes only a few movements to defend against the different angles of attack. All of the movements always lead to the transition position, from where further techniques of disarming, controlling or throwing can be executed.

In this video, GM Datu Dieter Knüttel teaches empty hand  selfdefense against weapons, here against stick and knife attacks.
Against the stick, several disarming, locking and takedown techniques are demonstrated and taught in great detail.

Very interesting are the parts, where effective hair pulling is explained and also verbal selfdefense is something, that one shoud know about.

The knife part is a continuation form the reavtive knife system, where more disarms and takeowns are demonstrated and taught from the tranisiton position, that was explained in the 2nd videos from the Vacouver seminar 2025.

This is a great video to get new techniques and concepts for the defense against weapons.
