About the author
Roberto Laura
was born on August 17, 1969 in Sanremo on the Italian Riviera. He came to Germany in 1975 and lived in Heidelberg am Neckar until 1994.
Today he lives and works in Neckarsulm.
Since 2002 he has been studying the tactics and concepts of the regionally different Italian knife and stick fighting schools.
On the trail of time, he continually meets new masters – heirs to hidden cultures that are only known and accessible to initiated people, even in Italy. Roberto Laura’s passion lies primarily in the art of the Cavalieri d’Umiltà (The Knights of Humility; Puglia), the Bastone Genovese (The Genoese Walking Stick; Genoa) and the Coltello Piemontese (Piemonese Knife; Piedmont).
