This is part 3 of 3 videos, that GM Datu Dieter Knüttel recorded during his seminar in Vancouver, Canada in June 2025.

In this video, GM Datu Dieter Knüttel teaches empty hand  selfdefense against weapons, here against stick and knife attacks.
Against the stick, several disarming, locking and takedown techniques are demonstrated and taught in great detail.

Very interesting are the parts, where effective hair pulling is explained and also verbal selfdefense is something, that one shoud know about.

The knife part is a continuation form the reavtive knife system, where more disarms and takeowns are demonstrated and taught from the tranisiton position, that was explained in the 2nd videos from the Vacouver seminar 2025.

This is a great video to get new techniques and concepts for the defense against weapons.

This is the first of video from the Flowin’ on the river seminar in Old Town, Florida, USA.

In this video Datu Dieter teaches the Modern Principle, which is also known as brush grab strike, but with his own touch to it.

Economy of motion and biomechanics are an implortant part of it.

After teaching the technical aspects of it, he moves on and introduces the Modern Drill, also known as empty hand Tapi-Tapi and from there he shows, how seldfefense techniques such als different locks can be used as follow up techniques to the Modern Principle.
