Description
How Kata can enhance Kumite by Grandmaster Dan Anderson, 10th Dan Karate
In September 2019 GM Dan Anderson taught a Karate seminar in Paderborn and an Arnis seminar in Dortmund.
The topics of the Karate seminar were “How Kata training can enhance the Kumite”, functional Bunkai of selected techniques as well as Dan Andersons Sparring/Kumite methods.
Grandmaster Dan Anderson, one of the most popular and most influential Karate GMs in the USA demonstrates in this video, how Kata can influence Kumite, to make it better.
Kata and Kumite usually stand on opposite ends. “Super Dan Anderson” looked underneath the surface of Kata to explore, how it can benefit Kumite or sparring. And he found lots. Be surprised, by the connection of Kata and Kumite and how it can also enhance YOUR fighting.
