In September 2019 GM Dan Anderson taught a Karate seminar in Paderborn and an Arnis seminar in Dortmund.
The topics of the Arnis seminar were 6 count drill with grabbing and functional twirling.
Grabbing the stick is an essential movement in Modern Arnis. GM Dan Anderson breaks down the 6 count drill and explains, how the grabbing of the stick can work. He also sohws the timing and the importance of the unexppected movement. In the end, you get the conceps of the 3 boxes while outbalancing your opponent and Dan Andersons trapping system

About the author:
Grandmaster Dan Anderson
is Director and Chief Instructor of Dan Anderson Karate and has the 8th Dan MA80, the 9th Dan Karate and the 6th Dan (Senior Master) in Modern Arnis.
He was a 4-time national US champion in karate and has won over 70 Grand Championship Titlel. He is the founder of American Freestyle Karate, an American martial art and the author of the bestseller “American Freestyle Karate: A Guide To Sparring”, which has been on the market for over 30 years and is reprinted over and over again.
He met GM Remy Presas already in the early 80s and trained Modern Arnis ever since. With all the books he has written and DVDs he has produced, he is a very infuentional GM within the Modern Arnis.
Prof. Anderson’s school has been teaching martial arts in East County for over 25 years, making it the oldest karate school in the area.
