How functional twirling is done by\u00a0 Grandmaster Dan Anderson, 9th Dan MA 80<\/p>\n

In September 2019 GM Dan Anderson taught a Karate seminar in Paderborn and an Arnis seminar in Dortmund.
\nThe topics of the Arnis\u00a0 seminar were Functional twirling and 6 count drill with grabbing.<\/p>\n

Twirling is not only swinging the strick around the body. You should be able, t0 put a meaning behind every movement. With stick and also empty handed. This is functional twirling.<\/p>\n

GM Dan Anderson explains step by step all the movements, goes into the stick and empty hand applications, tells about timing and the unexpected movements.<\/p>\n

About the author:<\/p>\n

Grandmaster Dan Anderson<\/strong>
\nis Director and Chief Instructor of Dan Anderson Karate and has the 8th Dan MA80, the 9th Dan Karate and the 6th Dan (Senior Master) in Modern Arnis.<\/p>\n

He was a 4-time national US champion in karate and has won over 70 Grand Championship Titlel. He is the founder of American Freestyle Karate, an American martial art and the author of the bestseller „American Freestyle Karate: A Guide To Sparring“, which has been on the market for over 30 years and is reprinted over and over again.<\/p>\n

He met GM Remy Presas already in the early 80s and trained Modern Arnis ever since. With all the books he has written and DVDs he has produced, he is a very infuentional GM within the Modern Arnis.<\/p>\n

Prof. Anderson’s school has been teaching martial arts in East County for over 25 years, making it the oldest karate school in the area.<\/p>\n
