How functional twirling is done by Grandmaster Dan Anderson, 9th Dan MA 80
In September 2019 GM Dan Anderson taught a Karate seminar in Paderborn and an Arnis seminar in Dortmund.
The topics of the Arnis seminar were Functional twirling and 6 count drill with grabbing.
Twirling is not only swinging the strick around the body. You should be able, t0 put a meaning behind every movement. With stick and also empty handed. This is functional twirling.
GM Dan Anderson explains step by step all the movements, goes into the stick and empty hand applications, tells about timing and the unexpected movements.
This video has chapters.
